How we make money

This page states how the site is funded and what that funding is not allowed to influence. It is here because a site that publishes figures about an industry should be legible about its own incentives.

Current revenue model

At present this site earns nothing. There is no display advertising, no affiliate arrangement, no sponsorship and no paid content. Nothing on the site is monetised in any form.

If that changes, this page and the advertising disclosure will be updated before the arrangement goes live, not afterwards, and the change will be logged on the corrections page.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell trading signals, bots, courses, subscriptions or managed accounts.
  • We do not accept payment for a favourable review, a ranking position or inclusion in a comparison.
  • We do not let any commercial partner review content before publication.
  • We do not adjust a figure, a caveat or a risk warning because of a commercial relationship.
  • We do not accept payment to remove or soften criticism.

The separation rule

Facts come from primary sources and are published with those sources attached. A commercial arrangement cannot change what a regulator published, and it does not change how we report it. Platform pricing is captured from vendor pages with a date, and is reported identically whether or not a commercial relationship exists with that vendor.

If an arrangement ever required us to alter, omit or soften a sourced fact, we would end the arrangement rather than change the fact.

How to check us on this

Every figure on the site is consolidated in the data hub with its source. If a claim about a commercial partner looks generous, the source is listed and you can check it. That is the point of publishing the fact base separately.

Advertising on this site

Advertising, where present, is labelled and visually distinct from editorial content. Advertisers have no input into editorial decisions and receive no advance notice of coverage. Full detail is on the advertising disclosure page.
